You might want to check on this field in hayward called Mt Eden Park, its on the boarder of hayward and union city. Its right down the street from GST and across from my work (pepsi) on Hesperian. They have two fields and usually don't have to much going on on the weekends. There is ample parking in th e parking lot, come to think of it they have 2 lots and basketball courts as well as 2 soccer fields. Just throwing it out there because it is very close to the freeway.

oh yea pepsi cola park. they got nice baseball fields i use to have practice over there. just gotta make sure theres no scheduled games for the day.

I talked to my cousin that lives out there and he says that a really nice field. Ill look into it and try to contact someone there

So according to google maps, it looks like there are 2 Mt Eden Parks in the Hayward/Union City area??? My original post stated that there is only ONE ball field, but that's at the "north" Mt Eden Park on W Tennyson & Hesperian. The one everyone else is stoked on seems to be the "south" Mt Eden Park (or Alden E Oliver Sports Complex) @ Eden Park Pl & Hesperian/UC Blvds. That one looks awesome!!!

Also, as far as when to do this... let's get on this ASAP! Why wait til just before the annual meet? I'm thinking something like a BBQ/game for a couple dozen peeps ain't too big of an undertaking. I suggest we do this next month! How does Sat, 14 June, sound? (Sun, 15 June, is Pops' Day) Or the wknd after that... Sat, 21 June, or Sun, 22 June?

I say "Let's Go For It!" I know a couple folks said they've got schedule conflicts. But I'm sure for almost any other date, we'll have a different set of folks saying they've got "fill-in-the-blank" going on that day.
My guess is that we're gonna have such a blast that we'll get a 2nd game/BBQ planned a few weeks after our 1st one anyway, right?.
