So is it safe to say that the 5.0 won this race?

Glad everyone is alright.

Just remember it's just an object and can be replaced. That's why we have insurance. You and your friends lives and limbs are not replaceable so things worked out as well as can be expected in this situation.

Don't get down on your friend for the mistake. Its not worth loosing friends over. I've seen it happen on i-club and in "real" life as well.

I let my wife, my brother, my friends drive my car. Shoot my brother borrowed it the other day and comes back and tells me... dude... that thing is sneaky fast. I was getting on the freeway and after merging looked down and was doing 100. Don't know what's sneaky about a perrin exhaust yelling in your ear. Shoot I know a couple people I'd let track my car. But I've never been one of those guys that was like that.

Ouch, surgery!? As the guy said previously, don't give your buddy too much sh*t for messing up. It can be a pretty depressing thing to realize that you totaled your buddy's ride. Cars can be easily replaced, but lives and good friendships are much harder to come by.

Damn, 2 crashed STi's by their close friends? That sucks.....sorry to hear.

I actually just let my friend borrow my STi for a day last week to get it aligned and I specifically told him "Beat it as hard as you want, just DONT TAKE ANY FAST TURNS....accidents happen."
