Loved the Legacy, but it wasn't nearly as competitive as the Impreza after it debuted.

Does not matter, McRae would crash them all the same.

The BC Legacy that the rally car was based on was the Legacy RS, not the GT. The GT came about with the BD/BG Legacy in '96 IIRC. Still one of my favorite Subarus, though I may be somewhat biased because my first car was a '93 Legacy Turbo Wagon that I picked up in '96.
