not using them while driving doesn't exempt them from the law.

it's a little extreme, but we can use concealed weapons as an analogy. having and keeping a gun on you doesn't mean you would use it. the law forbids carrying a concealed weapon unless you have a permit for the purpose of protecting others. while you might not turn on the LED light, you have the OPTION of doing so. just imagine if everyone had the option of having LED lights or rally lights...they have the choice to turn them on. you're gonna get a few yahoos who think it's okay to turn them on. that just creates chaos on teh roads and unnecessary enforcement by local authorities.

i want those cool prodrive rally lights or those prodrive sideview mirrors with the lights built into them (they were sold here on the club a few months back) too. however, i didn't get them cuz they would be considered illegal on public roads. just imagine if i had a set of those on in the mountains and come around the corner, blinding the driver of the oncoming car. that's just an unnecessary risk the public has to bear if they allow such lights.

dude, i never thought i would chime in for cops. i just feel that they're actually in the right by not allowing illegals lights even if they're not in use.

^^ Coz they got so fat from the donuts that when they try to use the keyboard they keep hitting multiple keys.

IMO, there are good cops, but most of the time they are bias and stereotyped.

Actually, most of these laws have been around for awhile...the only new thing I saw, was that officers DONT need to use a sound meter to tell you your exhaust is too loud....its up to the officer to decide that. So that means that if you get an officer with sensitive enough ears....he could tell you your stock exhaust is too loud. go figure....
