Awesome Dude!
Ok so this is way out there random but brings me to thinking about all of those of you out there that have either been friends of mine or the shop for ages or just really great customers over the 7 years I have been doing this.
Not sure how many of you have met one of our neighbors "Fred" his actual name is Mark and he works for his dads business two buildings down from us. He's the big guy that comes and watches all the crazy *** loud cars on the dyno and I know the 034 Motorsports guys know him as he sits on a chair he brings outside the dyno doors whenever they run their 750+ hp car screaming f#$k yea every pull!.
You guys all probably have seen the tragic Scott Kallita crash that has changed the pro drag racing as we have known it (at least temporary anyway) with the new 1000ft length.
So anyway "Fred" comes in the shop tonight and yells at me you need to check this out.

That is linked off the main www.nhra.com site, how awesome that they basically didn't write up any of their weekend this past weekend they basically dedicated it to a fan, someone they obviously concider very important to them.
Sorry for my random post I am just stoked to realize others out their appreciate their support in this fashion, this sort of thing makes me personally feel proud to be part of this industry and Motorsports.

That is very awesome. Too often in life great people get overlooked and never recognized until 5000 people show up for their funerals and the family is going... WTF? who are all these people.
Good to see that the NHRA still has a little self awareness.

That's a great story! Nice to see that there are still some die hard fans. I've been into Drag Racing and NHRA since I was 10. I've had a Hot Rod subscription for almost 10 years. "Awesome dude" just goes to show how dedicated and true motorsports fans can truly be. Much more enthuastic and willing to stick by their favorite driver/team even though tough times. More so than football or other sports fans who the majority will abandon their team in times of loss but bounce back when they are winning.
AWESOME!!!! Fred is a Riot... An enthusiast who throws all socialite reservations to the wind and is truly stoked by anything 'Motor' making big sounds and big power. He makes me want to cheer and hollar after every dyno pull. It's AWESOME his enthusiasm is well appreciated.
