I'm trying to figure out why the hell I just read all seven pages of this crap??????? It was quite interesting none the less.
I see points on both sides. The Tom foolery that goes on is mostly in good fun. There are a few that seem to take it a little to far. They have discounted pretty much all credibility. This slander does pose a bit of a hostile enviroment. Internet talk or not, we are a pretty active community away from our key boards and some of the comments get carried with us. For those who can take a friendly bashing my hats off to you, I respect that. Some of the people are not able to take the bashing. Even if it is meant to be a friendly ripping, text doesn't really present the emotion behind the statement. Everyone should be big enough to respect the fact that Zuka may be a bit more sensative to negative comments. Not meaning sensative in a bad way. That is just how he is. He is pretty complex. I consider him a pretty good friend. He does contribute quite a bit. He's certainly has an ability to entertain. I believe he has a significant part in this club, as everyone else does. Is it right the exploit someone's nature Just to get a rise out of them? I don't know.
As the whole avatar thing goes.... Wouldn't it be just as easy, and fair to charge a yearly fee of say $10 for the AV. This would pay for the annual meets and large event we have. Most would not pay for the AV unless they are active on the boards frequently. It would certainly knock out the whole I'm better than you because I have an AV argument. Those that do pay for the AV are really doing thier part to support the club. It gives them a little bit more leverage to spout off.Just a suggestion.

I am active in a few forums and there is plenty of bashing to go around. I take it all in good fun to since you can't be to seruious.

The $10 dollar a year thing I think would be way cool. It would help pay for storage on the server, and supliment food, and stuff when we do events. I like the idea.

I don't debate lexical semantics.. on the contrary I corrected the improper criticism of my use of the english langauge. I used a term relating to physical violence to assert the fact that I don't make physically attacking remarks as I often see on this board.
