This is usually the best way to correct suspension geometry when lowering a car.

And Ed what I meant by idiot is, the other side of the parking lot was empty. Why didn't he just use the parking lot instead of the street to warm up his tires. Would have been a lot safer that's all.

Guess the moral is : scuff in your tires BEFORE the event
. We can all definitely cut Rob (the GT2 driver) some slack here though, because pretty much every spare moment he's had the last 30 days has been in retrofitting the motorhome (he directed the retrofit, and the work was done at his business : Midland Cabinet Co in San Carlos.....that's why the cabinets in our motorhome look better than most HOME cabinets now!). Rob easily has 150-200 hours of his time over the last month into the retrofit!BTW, what alignment settings do you have now?

I think the camber is like -1 in the front and something less in the back. I'll have to look at the sheet from Auto Innovations to see what it is exactly. But you are running 22mm in your wagon, correct. That is about what I want to run. The 20 is very tame on city streets but doesn't react well when racing.
I was just on the SFR SCCA site and I saw that it said no tire warming on site. And the motor home does look really nice with all those windows and evreything.

If so, then about the most you're gonna be able to get up front is -1° to -1.5° camber (i.e. limits of adjustment with stock camber bolts). In back, you can run anywhere from about 0° to -1.5° with camber bolts (which are NOT stock)
If you're willing to goto caster/camber plates in front (the MRT ones), you could get about -2.0° camber WITH +4.0° to +4.5° caster (stock is about +3.25° to +3.5°). This change would pretty drastically affect your handling (for the better) without even touching the rear bar. The extra camber will help you "bite in" going into corners, while the extra caster will help on powering out of the corners (this accomplishes the same thing as the Anti-Lift Kit or ALK from Whiteline, which I believe adds about +1° of caster).
chrisw ran the MRT plates in front on his stock struts for a while (so we know it works), and can probably add more to this.
One of my "next time I feel like tweaking with things" projects on the WRX is to swap around the top hats on the JIC coilovers. Right now, they adjust camber only. If they were swapped, I could make them so they adjusted both camber AND caster (to about the numbers I listed....right now I am at -2.0° camber and +3.3° caster).
I have the Whiteline 20-22-24 mm bar in back (set on 22 mm) and 20-22 mm bar in front (set on 22 mm). The balance of the car is pretty good from the bar perspective right now.

Hey joe,
did you hear the noises when you rode with me, cuz its been clucking since friday. When my brother and i checked after the autocross, we found out the sway bar mount snapped. (my fault, installation error). BTW, dude I think i would be too intimidated by your car, but let me try out kuya gil's car out first, then maybe. I might not be able to handle your power.

If I remember right, you're running the lowering springs on stock struts right?
If so, then about the most you're gonna be able to get up front is -1° to -1.5° camber (i.e. limits of adjustment with stock camber bolts). In back, you can run anywhere from about 0° to -1.5° with camber bolts (which are NOT stock)

I can only guess what the caster was on the stock struts, but I will venture to guess that it was around 4.5 - 4.8 degrees total caster.
The car feels better, virtually no understeer with the MRT plates, stock struts & springs, whiteline swaybars 22mm front, 20-24 adjustablein back on 24mm setting.
In a slalom, the weight transitions were to say the least interesting
At the slush round 6 (ist slush at oakland last year) You would start by steering into the first 5 cone slalom and by the third cone, your not steering so much as you are counter-steering through the slalom....

Now that I have my DMS 50's back on, I am running a far better alignment.
I run over -2.5 degrees camber in front, and with the MRT plates I have a measured 4.8 degrees caster. Now that I have real struts, the weight transfer is not as bad
I am still working out running on street tires again, but I need to tweak my suspension setup now that I have upped my spring rates in front.
Do you really want me to co-drive your car? Cuz if you do, I'll drive it. I have never driven a heavily modified WRX before, or any WRX. I think it would be a good experience for me. Either way i'd be content driving my brothers car or yours.
