ok, quick question. this would by my first autox, can anyone give me a expected timetable. My RS is in the second group running I think. At what time would I run.

I'm concerned about this, because I'm seriously trying to fit in church around the autox. And church is at 9:30. grreeeat. Any input would be appreciated.

 

Guipo: that's gonna be real tough. If you're running in Group 2, you have to work the cones when Group 1 is running--and vice versa. Plus you have to register pretty early, I think an hour before the first car is out. They also have to tech your car. You pretty much have to count on being there the whole morning.

One option is to run in one of the afternoon groups and just put "WRG" (wrong run group) on your card or "Fun Runs". Any points you make that day won't be counted but you get to go out and run. That's all that matters if you're just out for fun.

Either way, I'll keep an eye out for ya. dorifto and I will be in STX (group 1).

Oh yeah, I brought my 1-year old daughter to the last autox at Cal Expo. She had a blast with my wife watching from the sidelines...

sweet, thanks AWD. I'll probadly do just that. I am in group 1 though.....cause I'm completly stock. So its whatever they classify me as. hey, since home is close, can I bring anything that would help you guys? chairs, whatever?

even if I cant run till later, i'll show up in the morning.

yea, i'll be in the blue RS, so I hope to see you, maybe you guys can give me tips.

If you're there anyway, it would be great if I could give you my video camera and you could record some of our runs! If not, no biggie. It's a good time to just hang out and learn and get a feel for what the whole event is like. You'll have fun.

I'd be totally happy to give you any advice or tips. BUT, this weekend will actually only be my fourth autox so I'm a newbie too, but I'm fairly comfortable now. At least I can tell you where to go and things like that. See you there!
