It's this Saturday, July 19th @ marina.
Last time this year for one of the best sites the SFRSCCA has to offer.
SM and DS/GS run in the morning, STX/STS run in the afternoon.

It is getting time for new tires!
On my last run it felt like I was driving on a waxed floor. The tires had had enough.
Maybe it is time to try the Falkens everyone else is using. Any one know how the Kumho Ectsa MX compares to the Azenis Sport? I have the Ecsta 712's right now. Good for rain but not so great for auto-x.

Well Andy is officially shipped out now though, so Chris *should* be able to make up the spread in the next two events.
I'm skipping round 15 though so hopefully Rus does too so I don't lose my 3rd place.
RE: Kumho MXs, I've heard they compare well to the Falkens. Word is they take awhile to come in, about 1000 miles. They apparently stick better when heated also which is much better than Falkens which get greasy and slippery when overheated. I know my next set of tires is gonna be Kumhos. I don't drive a WRX (anymore) though so the softer sidewalls won't affect me as much.
EDIT: Is Leonel on these boards? He was flyin!

leo's on these boards, leoneo01. yeah i'm not on street tires. i'm running on ecsta v700's (205/45 16's...waiting to put on some 225's).
on my last run coming down the diagonal straight by station 3, my car was scandinavian flicking through the chicane. then after the chicane, my tail came out a little fast so i had to countersteer to catch it. i caught it and had a cool tail out drift on that right hand turn going towards station 4.

I wasn't trying to knock your times, Gil, just that if you ran 44s on street tires that would be rediculous.
Do you mind if I come and bum a ride sometime off of you? A bunch of my friends drive subies, but I've never ridden in a well prepped (and driven) 2.5RS.

I am crossing my fingers that My rear LSD will be in soon so I can go to the next event...Its been sooo long. I would attempt to co-drive some ones car......but that would make me feel like Velolexus.
