Yeah. You are planning to get another set of wheels right? I dunno if I would want to run 245's on 7.5's. I mean... you certainly an, but I think it might be a stretch. I actually think the 235's on my 7.5's work well.

+1 for RPF1. You should look into the Kosei wheels. A little cheaper, and I think they are a little lighter. Do you know what size you are going to go with? I know for STX, we have a max width of 8".

FWIW, the RPF1 is lighter than the Kosei K1-TS (the "lookalike" of the RPF1). The RPF1 also costs a good bit more $$$
STU = no wheel width limit, but a 245 treadwidth limit for AWD cars (275 for FWD and RWD). Effectively (for a Subaru) this means any wheel over 8.5" to 9.0" wide is just adding weight
Thanks to all who came out yesterday, and especially those who went "above and beyond" on working. Personally think that 200+ on Mother's Day was a pretty dang good turnout!

done my research... been doing the wheel width and clearance thing for far too long. but mainly as a result of the last car being slammed to the ground from my ricer days. 17x8 seems to be the biggest you can go on the wagon before you run into clearance issues.
the kosei k1 ts's in a 17x8 are pretty much the same weight. the rpf1's look SO MUCH better. i'm still streeting this set of wheels... the kosei's might be cheaper, but i am concerned with aesthetics. they wouldn't be so bad if they were sized in the traditional k1 face, but even those don't look the part of the rpf1s. but i think the ts's are ugly (sorry karlton, haha, not like you guys run those anymore anyhow). i'll pay more for something if i have to stare at it everyday, although the car might get parked in storage on weekdays soon.
now it's a question of running 245s or 235s and getting my gram lights and stockers sold.

strut and wagon fender clearance is the issue, that's where the 8" limitation is.
the torque won't be an issue with 245s. 215/45/17 and 245/40 are for all intents and purposes the same size. 3 revs/mile difference.
c'mon kevin! i ain't no n00b. i was rolling fenders with baseball bats before you even had a license.
