Auto-X: SFR Round 4 - Golden Gate Field - 03-30-08
Now to my runs in STX:
I could have won. I ruined it with poor driving habits. I needed to slow down a little more before the turn and be smoother on the gas coming out, but EVERY run I never quite got that down well enough so I suffered some sliding and marble action, which definitely cost me hugely overall. Every turn was tight, and I wasn't patient enough on my entries.
Also haven't raced the RS in 5 months, and also put on new sway bars front and rear (but that didn't get in the way).
I hated the course though. Oakland shall redeem!

Definitely a mid/low 38 in there!
I ****ed it all up because I forgot about the auto deal, went to move the shifter from 1 to 2 and went for the clutch... which happened to be the brake pedal!!!!
Then somewhere later Kevin's seat reclined on me out of no where!
Kevin's car, since it's underpowered, grips like MAD. MAD grip on that car. I was so damn flat so much of the course, I really felt a low 38 was possible. Great car Kevin, keep piecing is together, it's a fun car.

I'll be sure to do those things you suggested. Shouldn't take too long. Can't wait until the next event.

i can't put the power down with my rt-215s. i can't tell if it's ggf or if it's just the freaking old *** tires. i'll move to 615s by round 9 with the new 8" hotness. granted i know the nut behind the wheel can use a lot of tightening. and look out for some body roll reducing mods.

trust me im more fast and the furious.... civic, body kit, red wheels, no vtec, less than 100hp
my impressions of the day............short course that you really had to give up speed on the entrace to a few corners to get them right, otherwise you'd end up in the marbles......definitely fun, but not the fastest way through the course. Just wish I ran in the 1st run group, as the surface felt perfect when i walked it in the morning. Love the finish slalom though! I was flat out through pretty much the whole thing and a little sideways. Good times.... oh btw love the shift pattern on that black wrx....freakin hilarious lol
