Got as far as getting new wheels and mounted the RS-2's on them and stopped right there since we had the big move to San Mateo to spend on.

so what time are most of you guys running?

edit: nevermind, run group 1. i guess plus side is that i can make it home to watch the super bowl if i head out there that early. plus less traffic. haven't shot an auto x in months, hopefully it rains.

According to weather.com, it looks like it'll be partly cloudy on Sunday in Oakland. However, there will be rain all week until then. This should be interesting.

Well, that was because you were relatively stock. When you do certain modifications, you are bumped up to the next level. That's just how it is. I am super-outclassed in STX. Mainly because I am heavily modified for an L. What pushed me up from STS to STX was my brakes, and maybe my wheels. The 2.5RS fronts and WRX rear (drum to disc conversion) pushed me up. In STS, if I remember correctly, is mainly N/A, 225 tires max, 7" wide wheels max, and no modifications to brakes sizes (calipers, rotors).

STX pretty much builds onto STS, but allows you to do any brake set-up as long you use the stock mounting points. Also allows drums to disc conversion, 8" width wheels, tire sizes up to 245, and a bunch of other misc stuff. Also turbo displacement up to 2.0L.

STU builds up on top of STX. Allows higher displacements, bigger wheel sizes, maintains 245 max tires for AWD and is it 275 for RWD or something.

Yeah. Something like that. I think that most of this is correct. One of the veterans can chime in and correct me.

Not sure where you would class though, since you have a 2.5L WRX drivetrain in a GC/GM body.
