AUDT: Who here is a Pool Shark?

Hi all.

Just curious. Roo posted a video of a guy doing trick shots on NASIOC, which leads me to the question... which one of you guys are pool hall junkies? I know there are a few of you out there.

I think my most fun was learning to play just one handed and the wrong hand at that when i broke my shoulder. Made the lefty shot a lot easier to take now

I play most anything. In the order I prefer:

9-ball
straight pool (14-1)
31 - (a great ring game)
8-ball
banks

9-Ball... the only reason I know what that is is because of "The Color of Money" and "Pool Hall Junkies."

Rent the original...

"The Hustler" - The Color of Money is a "sequel" such as it is, but you really gotta catch the original.

BTW, here's some other cues by the same cuemaker (Paul Drexler of PFD Studios) HERE.

I've seen "The Hustler." I dunno. I didn't like it as much as The Color of Money. I know it is a classic and all, but yeah...

Cues?!? Pfft, I can shoot with the end of a broomstick.. I think I won 5 or so tournaments with the end of a broomstick.. A few bets too.

But yea, I got a nice Joss West.. But, it ain't the cue.. It's the person behind the stick to fear..

Bring it on Roo!!

Thanks Kyle. I enjoyed playing with you in the past. Heh, I never notice who's watching when I'm running tables, everything is just a blur except the table and ballz.. Deep Focus...

Roo, you seem to know about the movies..

So here's a trivia question for you..
Who made the Balabushka cue for The Color of Money? (Which wasn't a real Balabushka)

That cue was a Joss IIRC.

I enjoy a good game of pool once in a while. When are we going to meet up at Chalker's??

Baller status... You people and your $3000 cues. I play with a $20 WalMart cue.

Pool Hall meet sometime? Maybe you guys can direct me to somewhere that's nice and has good tables.
