When no one else could make my key, not even Nissan, these guys made me one.

Call up Allied Lock in San Jose.

(408)554-8333
1122 Saratoga Avenue
San Jose, CA 95129

If they can't cut it, they can direct you to someone who can. They may even be able to help replicate your old master key from a code (they'll know where to find it).

Hope this helps.

ROFL...not this pile of Subaru myths and legends...

Sorry, but they told me the same thing about my '98 Forester back in 2001...

Only problem was:

It fit ALL the locks and ignition WITHOUT any issue whatsoever.

As far as cutting it...if you bring it when you drop by to order/pick up that nut/bolt that you need...

Umm...

I was one of the first guys to try it on a GC, and it did NOT fit. I had to file it down, not to mention files the teeth in some areas, to get it work the trunk and Ignition.

It still doesn't fit in the doors yet, as I need to file some more for that.

Well... it is just for an earlier stuff that it is trouble. I think for any WRX, you can just get it cut and it'll work.

Why is a key worth all of this trouble again? I think getting an sti key when you drive something else, anything else but an sti, is sort of like getting the wing and putting all of the stickers on it. Kinda like...wtf? Iunno. Its an L though so, i guess it works :P.
