Hi all.

I have a question about road conditions. I am thinking about going up to Northstar on Friday morning from my place in Davis. The forecast on Weather.com forcasts snowing and light snow on Thursday night. It does however suggest sunny skies on Friday. For those of you who have driven up, how well does CalTrans clean off the road? My main concern is being safe. I don't want to put myself in a situation where I can endanger myself or the car. Poor college student and all.

for the most part the main roads will be wet, side road might be icy. just take it slow on the ice with super smooth and early breaking

Yeah, I am thinking about rolling in the Subaru, but honestly, don't feel like driving. We'll have to see.

 

driving into Kirkwood northbound i spun out entering their main road to parking...because we were driving on a few inches of packed snow...so leave room to REALLY slow down...even if its only 15 mph. but the Kirkwood road is neglected the few times i've been on it...if you stay on the big highways it will be easy driving

dont let people push you, some people drive hella fast, so just pull over.

aaaand you shoulda done some rallyX's with me before that suspension went on!
