I agree with sonicsuby about asking if we could buy something to make the problem go away. I really didn't think of that route, that is why I spoke up so no drama would unfold about the MPD being called and giving people ref tickets or disturbing the public ciatations.

I didn't want to get involved in the whole security scenario and that is why I spoke up and said what they wanted to do. So an admin member could speak to them.

And all this stuff about turning my back on the club, this is why I stay in the tech section, because of all this loyalty nonsense. That is why I am on this board. This is why I am part of the club. That is why I went to the meet and the picture before hand and offered to be part of the parking lot crew to help.

All this he said, she said bull**** is stupid.

Any one of you guys saying anything to me right now, to start a thread about me and my actions, but didn't stand up for themselves, the "loyalty to the club" or didn't talk to me or the rent-a-cops face to face is powerless.

the fact is that you were telling everyone to leave.

This picture has been planned for weeks, no point in giving up and telling everyone from i-club to leave.

As soon as they told us to leave we knew about it, so what did we plan?

We planned that we'll just ALL go inside and grab something to eat or walk around in the mall. They cannot ask us to leave when we are inside the mall.

but while that was all being sorted we here you telling everyone to leave, some people decided "**** that, we're staying" and some people left.

If you did not yell out "attention everyone from i-club, we all need to leave" NO ONE would have left and we would have continued to take the picture as planned.... a few photographers outside, and everyone else inside...

So why didn't you stand up and tell everyone I was full of **** at D&B ?

Why start it here on the internet after everyone has left, the pictures have already been taken and everything.

5 maybe even 10 people left, this whole conversation is ludacris. But ya know what, since I was one of the few that talked to the security gaurd, here is the Great Mall's Management Phone Number: 408-945-4022. Call them and tell them that their security gaurds were kicking out patrons. Tell me how it turns out.

I should mention that I agreed with what you did, dude. Those security guards, at least the first guy that we were talking to, didn't seem to be happy with the decision his management had made, but was doing as he was instructed. What he did was his prerogative, and I knew he would end up calling MPD in the end. The last thing we needed was the police showing up and start messing with people just for the sake of messing with them (we must have interrupted some breakfast breaks or something), which is exactly what happened. The cops rolled up and busted a bunch of people that wouldn't have been cited had Great Mall security not contacted MPD in the first place. You were really just trying to do the right thing and I see that.

I did!!!!!!

I was the guy that had to go around and stop about 20 other cars from leaving. If that started happening everyone would have been gone and there would be no photos.

Fact of the matter is that you showed up late. Parked in the wrong spot. Didn't move when I asked you and your group to move and informed you guys you wouldn't be in the photo where you were at. You were there for like 5 minutes and got scared when the security guard talked to you...the security guard some of us had been talking to for nearly an hour already...you jumped up and started yelling....trying to take control of a situation that you had no business taking control of.

I had already spoken to the security guard about us going inside to "shop." he flat out told me that if we did that, they wouldn't do anything.

Then people started yelling about leaving and running around all over and screwed everything up. If people just paid attention thing could have gone much smoother.

if it had been someone that was there involved with setting the whole thing up....someone that actually talked to the security guards it would be an entirely different story.

Fact of the matter.....we got some photos. Nobody got arrested. Only one person had any issues at all.

No harm no foul. It's not a big deal. Nothing to cry over. Mostly people thread this post and posted on this thread just to mess with you.

me I wasn't gonna say a damn word. I said my peace at DB. But after seeing your response to all this I had to. It's funny.

It's not a big deal man. By reacting you're making it larger. They're ***cing with you.

Thumbs up

I think we tried. They had a hard on to get us out of there. Once the police officer showed up we didn't have much of a choice. In the end they had a right to kick us out oof there, and from what I heard they don't want us there to begin with. None the less we ha a great turn out.

yeah....and the funny thing. They'd go out of business if people like "us" didn't go there to eat, shop, chill. That place is a major hang out for car clubs, ricers, motorcycle crews....young folk.....

without us...no D&B....no greatmall.

If they don't want people like "us" going there...maybe we should turn the 100,000 of us that go there yearly on to something else. Maybe city beach.

Hmmmmm....that's an idea. Wonder if they have roof access. Could talk to management about meeting there for a photo...then have an after hammy meet up there for food and drinks....maybe some ping pong.

Interesting.....

anyways..you get my point. The management there sucks. Bunch of *** holes. You get treated like crap when you go there. Constantly. I've never had a good experience at D&B and hate the mall...I do anything I can to avoid that place. DB service sucks..BAD!!!!! the doormen treat you like idiots. I almost boxed one a couple years ago. Freakin idiot took my brand new lisense and folded it in half...tried to tell me it was fake...it was when the new ones just came out..mine was an early one. Nearly killed the guy right there on the spot..he could smell my breakfast I was so close.

I hate the place. Screw em. I bet we can find a place that would cooperate to meet up next year. Take our time...set up a nice photo, organize the colorblind folks.

I wasn't gonna try to take control of a situation that I wasn't involved in, however me and my friends all went inside the mall, we refused to leave when he told us to, 80% of the others that were there did that same as well.

Just like Ray (onemanarmy) said, you shouldn't have gotten all scared when the security guard told you to leave, you should have let the organizers deal with that. How do you expect us to leave D&B when we still have like 50 more cars coming, most of which DO NOT know how to get to Mt Hamilton.

You guys are STILL leaking blood from between your legs??!?

Can't you just drop it before I hunt you all down, throw you in a van and force you to make out to John Tesh renditions of Alladin songs at gunpoint?

I agree with OneManArmy and I think a couple of us were telling you to stfu. You were starting to scare other people into leaving.
It seemed like you wanted to take control of the situation but you weren't even in your proper spot for the picture.. Next time, let the people who organized the event speak to the security officers.
It would have been ****ed up if we all left without waiting for the remaining caravans.
Even the security guard you were "dealing with" told us go to inside the mall.

I showed up at 9:35 when I was told to get there, I was told the actual picture taking was taking place at 10:30. Maybe you talked to one of my friends, but I was never talked to about moving spots.

The fact of the matter is I did not get scared of some punk rent-a-cop, I did not want the real cops to get called and start screwing with us for no reason.

OK, I will admit it if everyone drops it, Yes I ****ed up by saying we should leave, who knows, maybe someone could have come up to me and told me straight to my face that I needed to shut the **** up, rather than doing all this flaming about me trying to take control of the situation and what-not.

Talking

All I know is that unless we all went in the mall to get cofee or something they were going to ask us to leave in the end. We did get pics, and we had a good turn out. Maybe next year we can find a place to meet where they actually want us to be there.
