Well I've been slowing down lately... getting old...
Recent flicks: on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best.
1. Gangs of NY: 4. Entertaining even though I fell asleep around the beginning of it(wasn't the movie's fault). The spectacle of violence and gore was somewhat shallow in depicting "the rigors of life in the past", I was thinking... uh ok... I get that part now, moving on??? Oh ok.. I guess not. Definitely worth seeing though!
2. National security: 1. Lame... Martin Lawrence is the same loud assclown... doesn't do anything different. Barely funny... seen the jokes before, and done better. but it's not like I went in expecting a Oscar winner or anything.
3. Adaptation: 4. Wow. Very different. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this but I was VERY pleasantly surprised! All you film students/script writers in waiting should see this... It's self-conscious yet very humorous and fun!!! Big thumbs up!
4. Catch me if you can: 4. Best Spielberg movie since the 80's!!! Easily. Very slick, cool, funny and not the typical shlocky BS like his usual style of trying to make some statement about life or some "enlightening" revelation... Just a fun caper flick!
5. Two Towers: 5. I'm a n3rd. Done.
6. Bowling for Columbine: 3.5. A psuedo documentary... I say psuedo due to the manner in which some of the info was presented, i.e. without any established sources. But it is seriously FUNNY in a "dude that is SO wrong" kinda way. Charleton Heston is a worthless *****.
There are few other flicks I really wanna see but haven't gotten around to.
1. About Schmidt
2. 25th hour
3. Confessions of a Dangerous mind
4. Two Towers
5. Some others I can't think of right now.

Shaolin Soccer 0wnZ all.
From Beijing with love = DOPE!
Ring = not that scary. USDM version scarier in visuals, but the little girl in the JDM version is MUCH scarier looking!!!
Ring 2 = ehh.
Ring Zero = ehh.
Forgot the titles to the rest... they kinda run together too...
Charleton Heston is a VERY persuasive speaker, I'll definitely give him that, but he's deluded to think that incidents such as Columbine should have no repercussions and then go out of his way to have one of those ever so persuasive speeches there. Not in the spirit of things. 0wning guns fine. Being a dick by having an NRA rally right after Columbine = dick.

the ring was freakin weak. If that is the scariest movie ever made then i think the horror film industry is dead. I dont want to spoil it but the TV thing at the end was so retarded.
now time to watch better movies. A classic American Samurai!!! I bought it from amazon for 5 bucks!
