ATTENTION ALL COASTSIDE VOTERS!!!!! (Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Moss Beach, Montara)
Hey I don't like bringing this kind of stuff up here but this is HUGE for the coast and want to spread the word.
I am urging all Coastside Residents to Vote NO on this recall election.
We need every single person's support this WILL be a low turn out election and not going to vote because you think"your vote will not count" this is your time to shine and make yourself count on the coast!
Some bullet points
-It's not locally started, CalFire has funded loud mouth locals to go campaign and collect recall signatures on lies that there will be no fire department, and taxes will increase. Both are false they are well within the budget and having no fire department is highly illegal.
-Some of the "replacement" candidates say they have never taken any money from the Union, but CalFire's Union FPPC report states over 70k has been invested on the coast
-All 4 candidates running against the incumbents are only wanting a seat to keep CalFire that is their only goal
-They are clueless on how to run a fire department, one even commented about "Black Angels above the fire" to one of our Battalion Chiefs
-CalFire moved a longtime Coastside Battalion Chiefs to Santa Cruz County only because he had views that did not agree with theirs
-We have a rotation of staff too often, over 200 firefighters have rotated through the coast within the 5 year contract which ends this June 30th
-We do not have any control over the employees, and our assigned Chief is only here 4 hours a month for board meetings and occasionally in office to do administration paperwork etc
