Must be a october fools joke.

Seriously though that **** makes no sense. I guess the government is trying to circumvent the whole marijuana is legal at the state level law so they can continue to arrest/raid pot farms.

This is seriously f**ked up. So you can be a complete drunk and buy a gun, but if you enjoy the occasional toke you're not allowed to buy a gun? What the hell is wrong with this scenario??????

i mean aclochol and ciagarretes are bad, worse than pot. but in the US (in general) people still see weed as a drug, (which i think it is) so giving someone that uses 'drugs' a gun doesnt make sense...

Alcohol is a drug, and the most physically destructing of all drugs (yes, more than opiates and methamphetamine). Alcohol is the one drug that gets into every living cell of the human body, and need I not remind you what alcohol is after all, it's poison to humans. Physical harm aside, the effects of alcohol make people do insanely idiotic things, disorderly drunks are dangerous... Unpredictable and very emotional/volatile.

Nicotine is also a drug, and one of the most powerful (in terms of addiction) on the planet.

Both are drugs, and much worse for you than pot...

When is the last time you saw a violent pothead? A belligerently unstable pot head?

I hate the fact that alcohol is so socially acceptable amongst people but pot is frowned upon. Goes against all logic.

Obammer was ok with medical herb and told the feds to let the states that passed the medical pot law police them self's. now he has pulled a 180. It looks like the puppeteers have full control of their puppet again..

It is Really sad too that the US needs money and a cash crop like pot that can be taxed and be used to make many taxable things is being put back on the target board so the US can spend/waste more money that the US doesn't have going after medical pot dispensaries. This too will put more people out of jobs and im not talking about the owners of the dispensaries im talking about their employees who pay taxes on their wages, looks like more people to join the jobless ranks.. GOOD JOB OBAMMER!!!!

In 20 or so days every single dispensary in SJ will have close, and that results in over 5million a year in tax rev as well as 1,500 jobs lost, just in san jose.

Like the article discusses, why doesn't the ATF care about prescriptions for other highly altering drugs like OxyContin?
