Does anybody know why my computer crashed so hard that I had to unplug it for 10 mins before I could restart it so it would not beep and have the fans spin at full blast?

Please refrain from getting into the mac v. pc argument

Try posting on macfixit.com or macrumors.com. I see the word "GeForce" repeated over and over. Hopefully your graphics card didn't just puke on itself.

i think your logic board might be acting up. there was a recall on it years ago. is this the first time it has happened?

when i had problems, the computer would just lock up and the fans will go full blast. then i'll have to pull the plug. sometimes when the computer is sleeping the fans will go full blast.

either the driver for your graphics card has a bug in it you were unfortunate enoughto hit on, or your craphics card/ or MB itself is damaged. SW issue would only required a reboot, if your machine is now in this state permanently, its probably faulty hardware.

faulty hardware + mac =

I've already replaced my logic board once because there was a power surge and I was using a cheap surge protector. It also zapped my external drive.

Go to the apple store, its free for them to look at it and they can tell you if its still in warranty or not.
