AP V.1 Question
Just got my cobb AP v.1. I went to install the stage 2 cali map but didn't see it. Would there be any negative affects if I were to install the regular stage 2 map. If so, what are they?
Thanks,
Thanks,

I think that the Octanes for the gas will be different. If the map that you are looking at is a 91 Octane map you should be fine.
You need to get the map that says ACN91 + Arizona California and Nevada 91 Octane.
What year is your car?? AT or Manual
Super

no data to back it up, just butt dyno and fuel economy info, my car ran much better on the CA map
put down 266/275 with just a TBE and panel filter at gruppe-s, pretty high #s considering its an OTS map

Depends on how aggressive the "mailorder" tune is, and how much headroom there is.
The 93 map probably runs a bit more timing and a bit leaner, maybe a bit more boost. If the ECU is sensitive enough and pulls timing you will lose power even if you are not audibly detonating.
Other than less power there aren't really THAT negative effects from running a bit aggressive (assuming you are getting tuned soon). The ECU will pull timing until it's safe, and you will lose some power.
