Anyone used Yahoo Japan Auctions?
I just discovered Yahoo Japan Auction, and I found a site (https://www.rinkya.com) that acts as a middle man (sounds sketch I know), because you can only bid/purchase Items if you have a Japanese address. Rinkya recieves the item from the seller then ships it to yourself. I've been looking and seeing some pretty cool Subaru gear on the site. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this sort of system.
Yes I have used it BUT.. I have a friend in Japan who gets it and either send it or brings it over when he comes.. Freight from Japan is very expensive so brace yourself. There is certainly some cool stuff on that site.

A few i-Clubbers have also picked up in person (!) by bidding on (and winning) items before going over to Japan on vacation.

Have fun paying the shipping to the US.
There's also limits to how long an item can be, or else the price jumps up drastically. a strut bar without the mounts barely made that size.

Depends on the shipper. My mid-spoiler for the Forester (which is longer then a strut bar) was only $50 to ship.

I have used and use Rinkya, as well as White Rabbit Japan (much quicker service and better customer service), and a couple of other sources to purchase things from Japan. You can rest easy, Rinkya is not sketch. Japan has much more than just awesome and rare auto bits. More than half my closet is clothes made in Japan which I import using various sources. I blame 嵐 for making me want to wear more Japanese labels. The current value of the Yen makes it very nice to purchase from Japan at the moment as well.

OK...
Hahahahaha. Let me elaborate. I watch a lot of Japanese TV stations every day, and after seeing the show "VS 嵐" a couple of years ago, I became curious about Japanese fashion labels that still made their stuff domestically. Not really anything about 嵐, just that they always get really nice clothes, and it piqued my interest in Japanese fashion trends and labels. I don't see what is weird about that. It is equivalent to someone seeing a car commercial and wanting to do research on a new car they found interesting. 分かりますか

I have used Buyee and I have purchased 30+ items for my WRX and OBXT. Jon/iNfEk uses Rinkya and he hasn't had any issues. My S202 wing only cost $150 to ship but my V7 STi wheels where A LOT more.
