anyone with a "stage 2" wrx going to a meet soon?

hey guys,

i'm on the fence about buying power adders for my '02 wrx wagon. i'm trying to understand how my car would feel if i purchased a catless uppipe and TBE, intercooler hose kit, and an accessport

is anyone with a similar setup, who wouldn't mind giving me a ride in their car, going to a meet anytime soon? i'm not looking to drive the car, i'd just like a ride in the passenger seat please!

I have an 06, but non-the-less you will feel a great improvement by going to stage 2.

I had those exact mods plus custom tune on my old 02 wrx wagon and its a whole new car to say the least. With a healthy motor and custom tune, you will gain at least 50whp and 50ft lbs over stock. Its truly night and day.

Yeah, a 2006 wouldnt be a fair comparison (2.5L vs 2.0L).

u from sf? I'll give u a ride. I had up/dp/catback/custom tuned ap, but now am with up/dp/catback/headers/untuned. The latter feels more powerful than the former. Have an 03 sedan

thanks guys! what meet will you guys be at?

also, do any of you do HPDE, etc with your stage 2 '02? i'd like to attend a few this year and durability is really important to me... i'd rather drive a slower stock car and be almost certain i will be driving it home as opposed to having a slightly faster modded car and be 'pretty sure' i will be driving it home...

Talking

I have stage 2 mods with accessport with EQ tuning map w/GM solenoid and the car runs super! I am in the Sunset of SF and can meet up in the evenings or weekend if you're interested in checking it out just let me know! Best to get the accessport first and later get a tune or custom map for your mods if you want it to run smoother than stock cobb map.

I'll be at Thunderhill on April 21 in my stage 2 wrx. Running a tbe, uppipe, intercooler hoses and Hyperflow top mount, with a relatively conservative AP tune by GST. It's considerably faster than stock, and I've never had an issue with reliability (knock on wood). I'm at 80k miles and doing about 4 track days a year. I hope that helps your decision. In my mind, it's worth it.

I'm about exately what your looking to get. Catless UP, catted dp, no cat back, intercooler hoses, and crank pulley with AP and tune. I got 200 hp with a custom tune from GST. Most will prob get higher because I need a new boost solenoid cause mine is maxing out ( a problem with 05 apparently) Its very smooth and quick spool making it very fun and a lot better over stock. I would recommend it to anyone.

there's no need for the use of a larger top mount on the stock turbo. Your car will lag more and u won't gain much power, if any.

yea... thats how much power i had too... (up/catted down/catback) mike wasn't able to mess with the boost so i was only able to pull 199 to the wheels... it was soo annoying, when i got the car all i wanted was 200 to the wheels. so months later i picked up that stupid pill off the STI, slapped it on, and gave it to mike to retune. now i'm sitting on 210whp210tq. 1.21bar... the project is now finished. no more money is going into the freaking car
