i have tokyo extreme race drift...the levels are pretty good, only three. theres a tech one, inbetween one, and a fast one. They are all amazing roads though. But i have about 10 hours into the game, and stopped playing it since you never make any progress in the game (you have to go to time attack mode to play the other levels. The cars are the same you would expect in a drift game. it was $20 new, pretty good for a budget title.
Its like initial D but with a little more realistic physics. The levels are just as nice, but there isnt much to the game. its exciting though, except the computer tries to ram you off into the guardrail and will also cut off your inside line at every hairpin.
You could get a mod chip to play imported games, but i dont know who what when where how you do it
I have more fun making little kids cry when i beat their skylines in initial D at the arcade.

i know its so addicting. I found the perfect stage and used to slay all the skyline kids. The Shomaru stage, ultimate rally stage, none of that hairpin BS. Hairpins are for wussies.
I always get the initial D bug when i come back from harveys in tahoe whenever the ground is too wet to actual slay real skylines on the real mt-ens

tell me you dont have those cards...its the best when the kid next to you says "what do you drive" and you go...hmm i dont know let me find a car...then they get crushed when you beat them with a stock car!
i usually get the s14 or FD since its stock and you need something decent.

I have a USDM and a JDM PS2 (bought the JDM while living there) Was going to mod the JDM one to play US games, but it ended up being cheaper to buy another PS2.
It's kind of a pain to figure out how to navigate the menus, so some JDM speak is definately helpful.
