If you are willing to drive to Sacramento, I believe Egan has them on his car.

Yes, I have KW Variant 3's w/ custom valving and springs.

If you track your car, these are one of the best coilover systems you can buy.

man... Sac is a bit far...

Hi Egan, do you go to Thunderhill regularly? It would be even sweeter if I can get a ride from you on a track then.

How does the softer KW susp compare to the super-stiff JDM track/race coilovers?

If you call 8 or 9 times a year "regularly", then yes.

Which JDM setup are you talking about? I would not call the KW's soft. I run 9k/8k springs on my setup.

that's great! Let me know who you usually run with at Thill, and maybe I can sign up for the same event too.

I see you have a custom KW setup with stiffer springs. Isn't the default spring rates for KWs around 8k/5k or so? Heard somewhere they don't do custom valving/spring rates anymore for KW. I guess I compared it to Zeal V6 or Cusco 2R with spring rates around your range, I always remembered the JDMs being stiffer than KWs.

Do you run bigger sway bars too?

That's too bad that they don't do custom setups on the V3's anymore. The place I bought them from is no longer in business either. I think Racecomp picked up the line so it might be worth your time to talk to Myles over there.

My buddy runs Zeals on his wagon with a 10k/9k setup and his car feels very similar to mine in terms of stiffness. But for adjustability you can't beat the V3's, at least not for the same $.

I'll probably start running in March or April. Send me a PM around then to remind me or check the 2006 Track Day sticky thread in the SRIC (Sacramento & Reno forum).

My suspension is currently setup like this:

KW V3 Coilovers
Cusco camber plates (front)
Group N strut tops (rear)
Cusco swaybar (front)
Cusco adjustable swaybar set to lowest setting (rear)
Poltec endlinks (rear)
Poltec Aluminum Pillowball Lateral Links
Poltec Aluminum Pillowball Trailing Arms
Replica strut bars (front & rear)
255/40/17 A032R's for the track

This is quite neutral with maybe a hint of oversteer.

I think these are correct (my memory is not so good anymore):

0 toe all the way around
-2.5 camber up front (maxxed out bolts and plates)
-1.7 camber rear
corner weighted
