anyone planning on watching the movie ZODIAC?
anyone planning on watching the movie ZODIAC?
one, this is a local story to the bay area.
two, i'm a sucker of unsolved crimes like this.
this new movie (opening in march 2) claims to follow as close as possible to the story. right now, on fox's AMERICAS MOST WANTED is devoting a whole show on it.
some say the killer died a few years ago.
one of his letters to the SF CHRONICLE says he wants to see this made into a movie and who will play him...
scary...

its crazy because my parents friends friends were the ones killed on lovers lane off lake herman road in benecia, it really hits home. Should be a really good flick.
I dono, i think its kinda spooky that ive been to all the spots hes murdered people and it wasnt intentional, kinda like thats what the people who were murdered were doing.
Minding their own buisness, making out in cars and ****, then BOOM bullets are flying and people are dead. What a sick bastard.

"From your secret pal," taunted the dancing skeleton on the front of the spooky card that the cryptic murderer addressed to Avery, although he misspelled it as "Averly." Inside the card, Zodiac printed neatly in felt-tip marker: "Peek-a-boo! You are doomed!"
By that time, police had already linked Zodiac to at least five random, brutal murders, dating back two years. He challenged police to catch him in boastful letters to The Chronicle and other Northern California newspapers, enclosing elaborate cryptograms and even scraps of one victim's bloody shirt as proof of his deeds.
Avery had written most of The Chronicle's stories about the case, and this was the first time Zodiac had targeted anyone by name.

Was hoping to see 300 today but it was sold out, so I saw this instead.
It's a great movie even though it's long (~3 hrs). Follows the real accounts closely and Jake Gyllenhal did a real good job.
