i can pull a group buy together. i can get them for 350 or maybe less the more people buy. start a list and i'll see what i can do to lower the price. jomel
Cags they are called. they are classified as toys. just obey the street law and don't go on the sidewalks and wear a helmet. cops should leave you alone.

pocket bikes are cool and all, but i really think there should be stricter laws on them. kids are riding them around on major streets (i.e. sunset blvd, sloat blvd, geary st. etc in SF), and it's almost impossible to see them when you're driving!?
oh, and did I mention that they're annoyinging LOUD?!
but i really do miss the real OG pocket bike, the YSR50. Those things were cool as heck! They were still loud but people didn't look as ridiculous on those things as the current mini mikes. Plus, that was the bike that I learned to ride on.

Here is a little wheelie pic of me. I'm 6 foot..
I bought a 47 cc one from the great mall for 250.00
beware of the little ones the gasket in the petcock valve on the carb gets tore up easily and clogs thiings up in the needle. I am looking for places to ride still.

little info
I bought a 49cc $400 pocket bike on ebay last year. It was a blast to ride and I had a load of fun, but buyer beware. It is a cheaper copy of the quality bikes that start around 1k (blata, polini etc.). They are a lot of fun, just be ready to work on it and buy new parts regularly.
I had it for 3 months here's what I experienced.
GOOD-
-Goes fast (~35-40 tops), handles well with the right lean into a turn.
-Fits in your back seat, trunk, weighs about 40-50 pounds, maybe more.
-Disc brakes, stops well when adjusted correctly.
-Winding sidewalks in parks make a perfect down to scale track feeling.
BAD-
-Carb needle sticking, dumping gas out. Had to pull the carb apart, clean and unstick the needle every few days.
-Handle bar angle is adjustable (swings in/out at shock tower) hardware is weak. with the allen bolts tightened the handle bars could still move without too much force. Scary as all hell in the wrong situation.
-Brake hardware sucks, needed constant tweaking. Had to re-adjust the brakes for about every 2 hours of riding time. These things are dangerous without brakes.
-Tail pipe broke of after about 10 hours accumulated ride time.
-loud and annoying
-Speed bumps are hard to see at 35 in lighted parking lots (my friend lost a tooth and gained some facial road rash as a result)
All in all it was worth the money but if you want to keep it for a long time, and ride it like it is supposed to be ridden, then you should invest in the expensive ones.
