Anyone Local in Fremont Area Available To Help Add Coolant & Burp System?
Car is overheating and I'm pretty sure I didn't burp the system correctly. I'm pulling out my hair trying to get this done. Send me a PM and I'll give you more details. Sorry for spamming the forum.

I wish i could help but I have too many errands to run today.
I can however give you some advice over the internet.
full the radiator with coolant, turn the car on and let it run, squeeze the upper radiator hose and this should get the coolant in the radiator to bubble and little and perhaps drop down a little.you can rev the car a little and the air pockets will come out also. Remember you have to keep the coolant topped off so when the level drops keep adding. be patient and you will do fine.
the best way to do this is if you had a radiator attachment that attaches a bottle to the cap area, so its easier to keep the radiator filled, but its not necessary

I can help you out, I work off of Dixon Landing in Milpitas and live in Hayward.
Basically, with the engine cool, open the radiator cap and then start the engine and let it warm to operating temperature. As it's warming up, keep adding coolant and squeezing the upper radiator hose until it can't take anymore coolant. Fill the reservoir tank to max, or just past max, and close the radiator cap. Let the engine run for a bit and any remaining air should bubble up through the reservoir tank. Turn off the engine and let it cool and it'll suck coolant back in from the reservoir. Add coolant to the reservoir to keep it between the max and min lines over the next day or two. You don't need to open the radiator cap again. That's it!

Did that. Burped most of the bubbles out. Ran the heater and rev'd the engine some too. Not sure, but even after most of the bubbles were gone, the coolant in the reservoir by the turbo was still bubbling each time I squeezed it. Not sure that is normal.
Gonna go for a quick test drive in a bit.

It was maxing out and idling about 3/4 of way up. I took it for a test drive for about 5 minutes, it's midpoint now, and not spiking. Coolant in reserve tank is down near bottom line. I just filled it up 1/2 way again. Will go pick up my dry cleaners and see if it seems ok.
Will probably have to pick up some conditioner as well since a lot of my coolant was "flushed" out.
Hopefully whatever minimal amount of bubbles left in there will go away on it's own? I pumped out basically all I could, but there's always some "bubbling" each time I squeeze. So not sure if that's normal.
And also. Last night I had the AC on auto for some reason, so that might have made the problem worse. I blasted the heat while burping and it may have fixed the problem. We'll see soon enough.

Yeah, the smaller bubbles you don't have to worry about. Just keep 2 quarts of mixed coolant with you and check the overflow reservoir after the car cools down. Add coolant to the overflow tank as needed to keep the level between the lines. Eventually, the level won't go down anymore.

Yeah, everything seems ok now. Was able to drive all the way to SC Subaru to pick up some conditioner without any spike in the temp gauge or loss of coolant. Will keep an eye on it in the next few days.
Thanks for the input provided.
