Same price as an STI.

Everyone likes/has the Elise...but these don't come along too often.

weird, it has the exhaust system and taillights from the later V8 Esprit. If I had the dough, I would be all over it. I've wanted an Esprit for hella years.

definitely awesome, I've always loved that car.

Even if reliable I'm betting it'll still be a hassle to maintain over the longhaul I'm sure. At that pricepoint I'd still get an NSX and do a few cosmetic upgrades. I love the car, I just don't think it's realistic to own one.

And I don't know how much total cost of ownership will be. In my research I've spoken on the phone to a few Viper guys across Gen 1, 2, 3 cars who have 100,000+ miles on daily driven Vipers with nothing but DIY fluid changes and the timing belt when it came up. Cost of maintenance on the Viper - nearly free.

Yea you gotta pay to play with semi-exotic. These are the most reliable of the years so I hear. The V8 was a whole different story though...always problems.

Vipers are aweome power machines...but around here in the south bay they are a dime a dozen as far as exotics...

This car would be much more original

Nice car! Buddy in Houston had one of the limited (1 of 20 I think?) ones, from the wording on this link I am pretty sure it was a 91 "Indianapolis 25th Anniversary Esprit" (aka the "Jim Clark" Edition). Decently quick, VERY rare, he told me he never worried about the car being stolen when driving around because if it were stolen, he'd just tell the cops to stop ANY green with yellow interior Lotus Esprit!

That is a really nice investment car. Even if it costs money to maintain the car, it still will probably help increase business just by being a head turner. Good choice.

I turned 40 not too long ago. Like they say, it's either screwing a hot 19 year old or getting a hot car when you reach that age. Well,
