I saw the same car on carsdirect.com. Same specs, and he was selling it for $18K. The ad is no longer there but I did email him and the story was you had to ship it back from Italy since he took it to Italy and can't register there! If it sounds too good to be true.. It probably is! I smell scam!

yep, scam....he'll tell you he needs to recieve full payment, and will ship the car for you after the check clears.....then never ships the car, keeps your money, and disappears with $14k free money!

I've heard of this tactic being used for selling lots of different high dollar items.

don't waste your time man. Just go and buy a new one. you're better off meeting them (with some friends just in case) and giving them eith money order or cash or check. Don't waste your time if they're not going to meet you personally with the car itself.

 

or he'll tell you to send over 2000 dollars or something so he can get started on shipping out the car. stay away from that. if you're going to buy a suby, buy it from an i-clubber(sometimes hehe) or from the dealer.
