Dunno what it is then if it wasn't bird poop. But I have seen poop eat through clear quickly, especially if its left baking in the sun

Acidic penetration only requires hours to reach (roughly 3 hours) rather than days or weeks. By the time of contact, it is only a ticking time clock before the permeation becomes more and more permanent.

Wax will NOT protect your surface from any high acidic permeation.

I would try to get a close look at the edges of the area as close and clearly as possible to see if it dips down or not. You can get some light polishing compound and work at one half of the area and compare it to the raw affected area and see if it makes a difference or returns a more transparent outcome. If it does, then the area is fixable and repairable.

At this point, clay bar, washing the car, goo gone or any other surface decontaminate will not work as it is beyond that point.

Your next best bet is abrasion, if there is material left and not missing.

Is there anything in your attic or on your roof that could be leaking through the garage ceiling sheetrock, a vent or a attic staircase in the garage? Something like an AC unit or something?
