yeah that green one will be up around $11k by the time it's done...at least $10.

I've seen 70's in that kind of condition go for $16 before.

there are some sweet ones out there. some nice ones on craigslist too...that's where I found this one.

the stock exterior with the original badging looks so nice!
with all your advice, what do you plan to do engine wise for your new Z ride? =)
i was contemplating trying to aquire a Z after college, but i think the prices would still be too high for my blood, Z's are awesome cars though, special in their own way!

I don't know if I can get it. Guy is in a bind..>I told him I was too and I didn't think I could swing $2700 for a car in southern cal that I've never seen.

I said I'd come look at it if the deal is right and told him I had $1500 in cash.

If I can get it I'll probably just clean it up. Triple 44mm Mikuni sidedraft carbs. MSD ignition. New stereo and speakers. Has no stereo. tint the windows. Probably clean and pain the engine bits and that's about it. I don't want to go crazy. If it needs it I'd put some koni reds and some decent springs and new sway bars on it.

I just want a car I can drive and leave around without worrying too much about door dings and theft problems and something I can have fun with.

I mean shoot...if I'm gonna be spending money on my cars I want it to go into my wrx wagon....you know. That bad boy is in need of new wheels, springs, sway bars at the moment.

I had a 72 240Z. It had horrable gas mileage. But then again, I did get it for $700. If you can, get a 74 260Z. I've been looking for one for the longest time. 74 is the only year it was produced. And you can get a 75 280Z without smogging it. DMV calenders are different then ours. 29 years to us is 30 years to them. Trust me. If you do decide to get a 240Z swap in a 350 or turbo'd L28, and you'll be all good.
