Sorry, I meant fly up then get the rental car. That or train, quite a bit cheaper for a room on the train for the 19 hour ride.

Remember, my info is just my opinion too. I mean, that's just like, my opinion, man. Anyway - have a blast, it's a lot of fun - especially if you like beer. If you're like me - and I know I am - you effing love beer.

I know, but most people on here are saying negatives and they're mostly about the people around the city. I told my wife "They're saying they have homeless, methheads, and bad traffic" She replies, "Have they ever been to San Fransisco" Haha. Thanks again, and yes I effin love beer...so much I like to make some myself

Yeah my co-worker took it to Washington and said it was amazing during winter, the only negative is that its 19 hours form SJ or OR... so flying or driving might be a better idea for spending more time there. We have two semi-friends who live there that I may contact but I might hit you up to see if they'd want a free beer or two to talk about there city once we're there, thanks for the offer.

I love San Diego too, also a great beer scene. I think like Portland though you have to live on the outskirts like Carlsbad to avoid the rif-raf.
