Quality stuff, look for Johnny, not cheap, but they are good at helping you work in your budget range. They are located in San Bruno, near SFO.

not to sure with that price range but check out my buddies at 515 autobody! they are located in burligame off broadway. Before they moved to that location they were known as franklin autobody which has painted many cars including my old wagon and many show cars.

International Auto Body in San Bruno does really good work. My friend had his 997 repainted there. They use the same paint (Glasurit) that Porsche uses at the factory.
Get two way insurance - low deductible - and a few months later - park in a rusty neighborhood and **** off the neighbors - thatll get you a 5k paint job for $250 deductible that might be waived.

I used to paint exclusively in Glasurit, but swtiched to Spies Hecker Permahyde Hi-tec about 6 months ago at the shop, much better product. Color match is faster, basecoats cover faster, system dries faster.

2 things wrong with that 1st sentence. Sherwin and Williams. Use either Glasurit or Dupont/Spies Hecker. You get what ya pay for dude.

I heard this is the kind of quality paint work the painter at Bay Bridge Motors cranks out...
- 1980 GL1100 Gold wing Cafe racer project
- 1980 Porsche 911 SC Limited edition #212 of 400
- The Shark Bike 2010 Honda Sabre
- Restomodded 1970 Porsche 914
Yea, Shameless self-plugs... cant help myself.

+2 for Bay Bridge, they painted my buddy's 911 restoration.
+2 for International, I've seen what they put out and not just for the Subaru peeps. They've done some really nice custom stuff.
+2 for Marty's since they got a few of my friends that have gone through there, currently are working on a 72+ C-10, and Marty and Melissa are good peeps.
*Not that I am biased towards any "specific" shop at all, just saying what I have seen and what I look for overall. That said, IMHO if you want a solid job, budget for $5700-$6500 for materials and overall best prep. It's all about the prep IMHE.

Hey bud I own a local body shop thats been in business for over 25 years! Would love to work out a I-Club estimate for you! PM if your still looking into painting your WRX! My shops located in Fremont.
I would love a 2011+ sti hatch in jbp....
Bar none best paint shop I know of is RJs in Pleasanton on old Santa Rita road. Awesome dudes, and any given day they have a few M3's out front fresh out of paint. Check em out. I'm across the street from their shop at least 5 nights out of the week and they are some stand up guys.
Pretty sure they also sponsor wheel dude as well?
Not sure though
