Anyone into swords? Want to buy some?
Ladies and Gents,
Anyone into actual working / using swords? These are not the el-cheapo ones in the mall. These are hand forged. Many styles to choose from.
Check out : www.kriscutlery.com
If you see something you like, I can hook you up!
Thanks

OOOO you da man...
Can you get me the Katana 29 for the original price it was like 2 years ago (155 dollars) or the wakizashi for the orginal price too?
For you guys who don't know, swordforum magazinze did a test of like a bunch of blades, and the kris cutlery blades came up on top, above the standard Hanwei Practical katana and the Paul Chen Golden Oriole, which is like 500 dollars

Yup, I was the one who did the tests. I have helped my buddy Cecil (owner of Kris Cutlery) promote his swords. To a point where he has more oders than swords in stock.
As far as the original price for the 29 " Katana, sorry, no can do. The old 29 and 26 and Wakizashi are no longer made. The new ones are alot better (in strength and asthetics). Blades are very well done.
Hit me up if you still want some......

Is it a real Katana?
Meaning, made in the traditional process of being forged from a single block of melted steel/iron... hammered and folded, and again, and again, and again..... until it is so dense, it can cut other swords, and metals?
Or are these "for decoration purposes"
One day will go to Japan, and find an old smith, and have a Katana made, in the traditional sense. Nothing like the real thing. (Probably costs HELLA money too
)

The swords are indeed hand forged. The steel that is used is 5160 (a modern steel). This works quite well. I have used it on a variety of test targets (tatami rolls, meat, bone, tree branches, steel pipe, and also Japanese Bamboo ). Awesome swords for the price.
If you want real traditional Nihonto, I can hook you up as well. Check out my other friends website: www.dragonflyforge.com.
