Anyone here see Metallica last night?
besides me- I thought it was a pretty good show, can't say either of the openers did much for me, but it was good to see Metallica again, I haven't caught them since their symphony shows- what 8 years ago or so?
I took about 150 pictures but only one came out any good-

Nice pic! Were you on the floor?
I was in section 110 and really enjoyed the show. I don't remember how many times I've seen Metallica now but this one certainly had some memorable moments, e.g. laser lighting, black Metallica ***** dropping, Lars' b-day pie in the face, etc. I only wish they didn't play so many Death Magnetic songs. I think even James got a feeling that the crowd wasn't so into them when he said "these songs aren't going away!", or something like that.
I also took a bunch of pics and posted them here:

I was at the mix position with Big Mick for the first half hour or so then wandered out on the floor where that shot was taken, just before a mosh pit broke out in front of me.
You got some really nice shots there!
I think your camera >> mine...

Lance dying was a HUGE loss to Metallica - but you have to give it up to these guys that they took that loss and went ahead with it. I don't think it would have done Lance's memory justice if they had simply given up and split.
Back to the concert - it was killer to meet Ryan (aka IrishCarBomb) at the show!
