I like it so much that I don't listen to FM radio anymore.
The only 'con' is that it isn't built in to the stock head unit! Make sure you use the tape adapter, because the FM modulator sounds like crud.

Just got the SkyFi2.....had a SkyFi, and also a Pioneer add-on (into my Pioneer head unit) before that.
The SkyFi2 is pretty sweet! As far as features, it is the best XM tuner out right now.
Cost is $10/month. I'll mention that it's been months since I raised the antenna on my WRX

Ya I'm on the road a lot, especially during the summer. Was thinking that the SkyFi2 could be a nice device to have in the car. $10/month ain't that bad to get good tunes!
thanks for the feedback guys.

my friend has serius sat radio and he hooked it up to his incar sony xplod MD player/recorder, so he records all the stuff crystal clear onto minidisks, then can put them on his computer, Im sure u can do the same with XM, it is awsome
i'd wait for the MyFI, or XM's version of a walkman...
really cool setup.
but if you are a howard stern fan, get SIRIUS instead...
xm is $9.99 a month, whereas, sirius is $12.95 a month...

MyFi is out......and also costs $350 (ouch!).
SkyFi2 + car kit = $150 if you look for rebate deals.
I still thought about the MyFi, but then I listen thru headphones mostly indoors in a building that a satellite signal isn't gonna get in.

XM has repeaters because all their sat. are in the Southern Hempisphere but Sirius doesn't require them because their sat. are in the Northern Hemisphere. Something to think about. Why do you want XM over Sirius? The only reason i could see XM over Sirius is if you were a hardcore baseball fan.

I like the music selection better on XM, and XM covers ACC Football (I went to Clemson, and am a hardcore college football fan). Pretty much sealed the deal for me
ldivinag : building I work in I am often far inside it and it is a big building. Hell, my cell phone doesn't work inside decent chunks of the building let alone mere FM/XM

sirius streams its MUSIC channels (only) for free if you are a regular subscriber.
xm charges $4 if a regular sub or $8 if you are not...

I'll also mention I spend a lot of time in a lab that, believe it or not, is NOT hooked up to the internet. I know.....the horror of it all
I have a spare home kit for the SkyFi2. My desk (for when I'm not stuck in the lab or in a meeting) does happen to be close enough to the windows that it might work.....worth a try at least!

I just got the Roady2 for our minivan and this thing is a blast to use. Just paying the basic subscription,$9.99/month.
I'm planning on getting a 2nd antenna and mount for the WRX.

When was the last time you saw a new car come with sirius? The industry is adopting XM as the standard.
It's kinda like the Beta versus VHS wars, where the "better" 8mm standard lost.
