friend of mine mentioned that my right brake light doesnt work when i brake, tried everything to figure out what the problem is and seemed like the harness needs to be replaced.
if anyone has a spare, please let me know.
thanks!

Did you already try switching the brake light bulbs from the left to the right side and see if it works? Check your fuses too?

Bring it over we'll make a new harness =)

Maybe you shouldn't be braking so much lol... wearing out the harness, hah jk.
Seems like it would be something you could fix w/ out having to replace the harness. Test all the wires w/ a multimeter, I got one if you need to borrow it. If all else fails maybe someone w/ a wrecked wrx can hook you up w/ a harness.

We tested all the wires with a voltmeter already.
It's the harness, phantom failure somewhere and neither I nor Daios can find it.

we also swapped the harness from the driver to passenger and vice versa, so the passenger harness needs to be replaced.

If it was a mechanical problem I could fix it =(
Make a new harness =)

I was the one that came by and checked it earlier for Ave.
Heres the deal. The driver side lights work perfectly, lights up the parking lights and the other lights go full brightness when the brake is applied. On the passenger side tail light, the parking lights work, but none of the other bulbs goes full bright when the brakes are applied.
First we tried switching the bulbs with different bulbs (correct filament bulbs to the correct plugs). Still doesn't work and all bulbs still look like they have good fillaments. I took out my DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) to test all the wires. First took the single filament and dual filament bulb out where they go full bright as the brakes are applied. then first disconnected the harness on the tail light and checked each wire from the spade male terminal ends to the contact pins inside the plug for the bulbs. All connections are good and each crimp on each ends (and in between on the ground wires) are good. Then connected the main harness and check for conductivity again, but from the wire end of the harness coming from the car and the contact pins in the plug for the bulb. Test finds all wires are good. Next i checked if the plugs get ~12volts on the positive pin when the brakes are applied. Again they all work. Tried to take the passenger side harness and plug it into the driver side harness and the lights still do not work on the harness from the passenger side. Tried to see if the contact pins do actually touch the pins on the bulbs when the bulbs are inserted into the plug. Everything looks good and the bulbs still do not light up when the brakes are applied.
Charlie comes over and I reshowed him all the stuff above. He looks and suggests other options, and we both conclude that somehow that harness is not working correctly even though I've checked everything logically.
Any more bright ideas? I say get a new harness and this is what this thread is about.
