anyone have an OBDll scanner locally?

My CEL went off and Subaru can't schedule me until next Saturday. Trying to find the code its throwing. I wondering if anyone in the San Jose / Milpitas area has one I can borrow to pull the code(s).

Thanks!

^ You're going to have to unmarry it 1st. I tried using my old AP to check a code from my gf's WRX and it wouldn't let me.

I have a code reader in my car right now but I'm in Salinas and don't plan on running out to SJ until next week at the earliest.

I have seen this scanner sell for as little as $10, so no reason not to own one. Mine has served me well the last 6 years.

No AP yet (i know faiiill) but yeah I'd be worried about unmarrying yours. I'll see if I can find someone closer. There is enough Subie fam around me, someone's bound to have one.

Thanks though man. I'll check around here first and letcha know as a last resort. Based on the recs, looks like I'll be able to swing by an autoZone or something. If not one of my buddies in Milpitas might be able to help me out this weekend

Autozone and Kragen will not loan one for free, scan your car, or allow you to take it out front to scan it and then bring it inside.....they changed policies or something a while back and apparently they no longer can, unless the guy behind the counter hooks you up. I had to buy mine......Now whether you can go buy one, and then return it within 30days, I'm not sure....

I have a scanner from harbor freight. it was cheap but it does the job. I'm located in Santa Clara near Rivermark Plaza. HOWEVER, I'm about to leave for work in a few minutes. If you wanna swing by tomorrow in the AM, pm me.

I'm in Cupertino and can scan your car if you want, I bought the Bluetooth one that works with your phone and a Matco global obd2 reader. Both under 100$.
