Anyone have a local source for this?
try the hobby shop on geary street or ocean street in san francisco, or the anime/action figure/car model shop on taraval @ 19th ave in SF. one of those places is bound to be able to order it. also there is a anime shop on geary street that sells only models like that so you should check that out too

Really? I didn't like FF7 so much
I liked FF2, FF4, FF6, and FF10 the best. FF8 gets honorable mention for storyline, character design, and graphics; FFX-2 gets honorable mention for graphics and fun factor.
