I've only called safelite and I know they're expensive. I'm gonna do some shopping around but hoped maybe some Iclubber worked at or knows a shop that can hook it up, or just has good prices

We used to have an i-Club windshield hookup. I had two replaced at UCKK meets. Not quite sure what happened to that particular hookup as I haven't needed a new windshield for some time (and I now live in the North Bay). Good Luck, and if you do find something please post it here so others can take advantage of the deal.

I called safelite/my insurance and it'll end up being roughly $700 because my deductible is $1,000. So if you or anyone you know has a shop with oem or oem quality (doesn't need to be Subaru brand) replacements that can beat that price please please PM me, post it here or text me at X. Really don't want to drop $700 on something stupid like this and hoping someone here can help. Thanks in advance guys!
thats how much i ended up spending on mine since i have the heated option as well. I got it done here: Autoglass Masters - San Jose, CA

Thanks everyone, it's more expensive than older wrx/lgt glass because of the heated element. So far all-star glass has the best price at $592 OTD. Still shopping around so let me know if anyone finds anything, I couldn't get it repaired until next Monday at the earliest so I have some time to shop

Replace chuck Norris with Bruce lee and you are gold. Doesn't matter that he is dead

Never Use Safelite, their glass sucks, trust me here.

As for hook-ups, not per-se but I'll happily refer you over to Jon at Glass Plus at 145 S Van Ness Ave San Francisco, CA 94103 (415) 255-8400

He's been able to consistently exceed my requirements and always done right by us and referrals.

Give him a call or a visit, feel free to say Shane that had the white '95 4Runner in mint shape referred you.

whoa............. I have no clue why your safelite quote is that amount....

I have a 2012 forester with the heated front windshield and got mine replaced last week.

safelite quoted me after a slight return customer discount $485 AFTER taxes and fees, that is for the heated pilkington windshield
an OEM one would have been like $1,000
plus safelite wanted to charge me $30 to drive to my location

i ended up getting it done by Paramount auto glass out of Berkeley (866) 497-3202. they drove to my house FREE, the installer had 14+ years experience, and it only cost me $335 INSTALLED for the pilkington heated glass

i watched the guy the whole time, he did a perfect job. didn't scratch my car, sealed it all, it's perfect.

the pilkington glass is a very popular non OEM glass made to the same standards as OEM. the heating elements are on the inner part of the windshield though instead of on top. but I did see them, and I was the one that plugged it in as well.
