Anyone have a commercial Class B?

I'm debating getting my Commercial Class B license, but am trying to figure a few things out and would like input from those with Commercial Class B experience. I was told that if you receive a ticket in your private vehicle you are not eligible for traffic school and the ticket/point(s) stays on your record permanently. Is this true?

You will not be eligible for traffic school, you also only get a BAC of half the legal limit of regular drivers.

Do points stay on for the standard time period, or are they extended/permanent?

Yeah that is true about not being able to attend traffic school, as well as the bac limit.
I was looking into getting mine years ago and I realized if I drank one beer and drove within an hour, I could get a dui!
I don't remember about the points though.

I believe the DMV website has the Commercial Drivers License handbook, or you can pick up a paper copy.

AFAIK, unless something has changed recently, the points stay on for the same period as a class C license.

yup it still sucks!

if i wasn't getting paid way over 20$ an hour i would have never EVER eVER! gotten my class A

im serious! the lic. is just not worth it at anything under 20$/hr

i can get a 16$ job without the lame lic. and its ridiculous standards

Unless you have a serious job that requires it, DO NOT get a class B.

It would allow me to expand my current job to include limos with larger groups, our 30 passenger bus, and our new party bus. Tips and wages would be great, but I don't think it'd be worth the risk

all true. the big one being you will get a dui @ .04!!!! that is half a beer for most of us. AND the insurance risk is HUGE! when i was a firefighter/para, my restricted class b was under the same regs.

i carried 2 million in personal liability just in case. is it worth it? no, IMHO.
