Anyone have a car trailer they'd rent out for the weekend?
Need to haul my chevelle up to WA, will gladly pay for wear and tear on the tires. Round trip will be a little shy of 1400 miles. Uhaul wants $700 bucks for a one way trip. I can buy one new for a couple grand and might do that if I have to. Please PM me if you're able to help me out.
Thanks,
Derek

I am eventually going to finish restoring it, need to move it out of my garage, going to be moving and can't leave it outside with the bare metal exposed. Taking it up to put in my grandpa's shop for now. Thanks for the bump.

Sorry kuz I don't mean to thread jack or anything but this kinda plays into my question...I want to haul my car to the track one day either to infineon or sac raceway for the drag strip without having to drive my car (did it once before, it was killer)....u-haul would be able to provide like you asked, right? (drive my car up the ramp, strap it down with whatever is provided)

, As long as you got a rig that can pull the car/trailer, they will rent you a trailer. You will pay a fee for the amount of days you rent +mileage. There is a mechanical odometer on most of them located on one of the wheels so they can keep track. You will need a hitch and receiver on your tow rig. They will inspect it to make sure it is appropriate for what you are hauling.Don't know the exact cost for you to rent one locally, but I just can't see giving them $700 to rent one for my situation. I might go buy a trailer this weekend. I would actually use it for the same thing you mentioned. I hate driving my car to the track in case I break something. I drove to a track day last year and lucked out, but would have been an expensive tow home if I would have needed one.
