No hookup, but I have had the best luck simply ringing the nearest Enterprise desk directly. I got some cheap PontiVauxOpelrolet for around $20/day to go to the Japanese Classic Car Show and got a F-150 for around $25 to get some car parts recently. Way better luck than the online rates for some reason (from my experience).

If you have a Costco membership, check out Costcotravel.com for AVIS specials. Last October, we were able to get a Chevy Uplander (7 passengers) for NorCal to Vegas for $155 or so for 4 days. (http://www.costcotravel.com/?rc=7&an...ategory=avis#0) You can probably score a lower rate if you're looking for a compact or something.

I know most rental companies will charge you extra if you drive out of state too. Just something to keep in mind when renting.

Btw, I'll be in Vegas for the weekend of May 14-17th. I wonder if this soccer tournament is what is driving up the hotel costs. Prices are ridiculous.

Enterprise also gives a discount if you have GEICO insurance. Just rented one yesterday for my wife. Her car got rear ended this weekend.

If you have Mercury insurance, you can also ask Enterprise for their "Mercury rate". I got a rental Hyundai Elantra last year for $17.xx per day.

Last time I did a Vegas road trip, we rented a Toyota Avalon. Pretty good leg room (then again, it's five Filipinos 5'7'' and under LOL), enough trunk space, and decent pep from the engine to keep me from getting bored (compared to my 197HP Si Sedan).
