How'd ya figure?

Yeah, i can upgrade in June I guess (says cingular) and my GF's phone isn't working well and it's an international Sony Ericson so we can claim it (not insurable).

So something until June when I can then pay for the upgrade.

It might be better to cancel your cingular account now so you can sign up for a new 2-year contract and get the discount off the iPhone.

another thing you can do is go buy one of the cingular go phones and just put your GF's chip in it.. those are pretty cheap.

Actually it does work, I tried it about a year ago.

If you don't need anything more than just a basic phone, it'll get you by until the end of the contract.

i believe the to-go phones cingular sells still uses a sim card/gsm based phone and it should work.

yes... as others have said, the go phones also use sim cards. You can just put your sim card in and it will just work. I am doing this right now as the phone that I got on my cingular contract ended up sucking giant ...

wow..

So i could get a 6030 for $30, and it would work by putting in the sim card... amazing.

no way we are going to buy something that expensive, when I could get a D807 for like $90 in June.

gagan, dont get that phone. several of my friends have it cuz it's free upon renewing contract, and there's nothing good about that phone except the fact that it's somewhat thin.

and it's definitely not a phone worth paying for. contract or not
