Anyone ever try to replace a LCD screen?
Sister in law cracked her screen on her 32 inch Sony Bravia. Went and bought and new one and gave the old one to me.
Figured if I could try and buy a new screen, for a decent price (less than a new tv), it might be worth a shot trying to fix.
If not, well then its trash anyways.
Took it apart and got the old LCD out pretty easy with just some time and patience.

Everything ive pulled up so far is more than a few years old, so not sure how helpful that is going to be.
EDIT:
Not sure why the first pic isnt working... works on another forum

weird that mine still wont work on iclub.. its working on two other forums right now..
If a 32inch Sony comes in with a good screen (but wont power up ect ect) hold it for me
yea found that. So redik.
Yea I can get a newer 32inch Sony Bravia with more hdmi ports than this one at Costco right now for $453 after tax.
I mean this was free for me so, Im not really missing/loosing out on anything if I cant figure anything out.
But yea I was thinking if I could find one on craigslist that doesnt power up or has something else wrong with it (screen is ok) then I could prolly get it cheap from them

Well getting the LCD out of this tv took me like 25-30mins.. not too bad.
It will/would be well worth it if I can get a cheap replacement haha.
Made a CL wanted add for a sony that wont power up ect ect but has a good screen.
Got a response from a guy that said his screen powers on but doesnt work right......
not what the add is asking for lol

Anyone every swap LCD screens on digital cameras? I have no idea what it takes, how easy or hard it may be, but I was wondering if its possible to upgrade the LCD screen on my camera. I basically want a higher resolution screen. Do you guys think this is possible?

i work at an HHW(house hold waste) collection facility and we always get in tvs that people try to fix but give up. They say just buy a new tv.
