anyone else STILL going to the RIM RALLY in april?
looks like they (the organizers) lost the use of the angeles forest roads.
all they are gonna do is the stadium type racing... sigh... cant blame them i guess.
used to volunteer for this event but since this year, it's all concentrated in one place, they wont need jobs like i volunteered for... (too bad, i was gonna use the RIM as an excuse to buy a new radio... lol).

At least my job is generally all going to be within sight this year, but I'll miss those roads!

anyways that sucks, ive always wanted to go to this. i want to see the crossover races
It takes place in Lancaster, CA. I don't know if I'm going to go this year. It'll be the first time I missed it in three years. Last year was an absolute riot. So much so, that one of the attendeesdoes not drink to this day. I'm really bummed about that J. With the format being what it is this year, it just takes sooo mouch out of the event. Sucks really. The worst part about it, the promoters couldn't permit the use of the Forest but the forest is being used as an ORV park. NO high speeds allowed.

I just got an e-mail saying they still need volunteers for bannering and set up on Friday, as well as for various facilities and support functions on Saturday and Sunday, if we can get 4 more volunteers from BAIC we can get listed as a supporting club....

yes, we're still running. I'll be offically turning the car over to the new owner at the end of the rally, providing I don't wreck the car.
