I love Pandora too... especially when you want to listen to genre music... like "80's" or whatever.

Slacker has the same box. In my eyes, Slacker organizes the stations a lot better, where as Pandora you kinda have to know what you want to listen to.

Love it! I use it everyday at work and on the iPhone in the car during long drives but since my HTPC is down right now I'm also using it at home as well so I paid for it so I get the higher quality audio stream.

There are better internet radio sites.
When they started that rule due to legal issues, it was something like 99¢ to remain listening til the end of the month.... oh noes!

I listen all the time, currently listening to my Classic Rock station. I also have an STP station for my grunge mood, general rock when I want something loud and heavy, as well as my Flogging Molly station for when I'm drinking.

EDIT: Looked it up still 99¢ for the rest of the month once you've reached 40 hours. I currently have 15 hours left though

You can also pay $36/year ($3 per month for those math challenged folks) for a ton of features like limit free listening, 5 hours without the "Are you still listening?" button, no ads, better quality streaming, a cool desktop app, and more.

My only complaint is that the Pandora app wont play out through the iPod hookup, only the headphone jack.

Oh, and Jourdan, it's only a matter of time before Slacker starts with ads and limits.

Figured out the iPhone/Pandora situation

If you plug your iPhone into something like the iPod dock speakers, it'll play pandora. If you plug your iPhone into something that takes over complete control of the device (like a car stereo) it WON'T play pandora, even if you switch control back to the iPod/iPhone. Lame because that means I still can't listen to it in the car, but at least I can in the kitchen.

run it to your car stereo AUX through the iPhone headphone (3.5mm) output

That'd involve installing an aux hookup, I don't care enough to do that.

Question for iPhone 3G and 3GS owners -- can you play Pandora without wi-fi? I mean, is 3G "fast" enough to stream(?) the music in when on the road or something?

I have the non-3G iPhone, so I only play Pandora when I'm at home, or somewhere with wireless internet.

I listen to it just fine on my 3G. No wifi needed. I haven't tried it on the Edge network.

As long as you have a decent 3G signal, it should work great.
