Yeah. I figure the brick like shape of the hatchback is going to be a big problem.
I do like the idea of the carbon shaft just threading out if it breaks instead of turning into a 8,000 rpm hammer.

I'd prefer to spec something out so as to not break not take something and exceed it's given estimated at best failure point based off of how it might fail.
All Subaru's are drag co-eff challenged but from my experience with high speed Subaru's outside of the obvious engine demands and the issues with building them properly for such, the front end nose design of the car has to have some serious work with regards to the frontal lift caused by the parachuting of air in the engine bay.
Well that's one of about 10 critical area's I can think of outside of engine for a Subaru to achieve 200mph

Oh yeah. The gearing has me really worried. I found the longer gears (2-6 anyways) through rallisport....but I am still trying to find a lower final drive. Get rid of that 3.9 for something a bit more...3.54...which I heard is out there, just hard to find.
As for aero...well yeah...it's a brick. Mert's idea, ok, well my idea and his work, is to just to keep throwing hp at it.
That's the plan for now. We just want the 200 mph tshirt that socal timing and scoring gives when you hit it.
Then it's going to go to track duty...

If it's running the Salt Flat's it won't be able to though and would need to run a 3.54 straight through to do it

Look for a 20 year old Subaru, and you will find what you seek.
My car was running 18x11 with 305/645R/18 tires
Honestly dude, you are better off picking up a 1970's camaro, striping it to the body and frame, throwing a monster small block in it, and sealing up everything tight as a drum. You hvae a better shot at 200 like that than in the STI.
