This year's X-games was the worst editing and/or producing I've ever seen on a sporting event. The horrible cuts where you'd be looking at NO ACTION while something else was going on somewhere on the course that you actually WANTED TO SEE. Not to mention cutting to commercial only to come back after missing 3 or 4 different runs from various riders. I'm mostly speaking to the Skate Superpark thing, but it was the same no matter what event. The old guy announcing rally was absolutely horrible. He wrongly identified drivers 6 or 7 times. Just pathetic.

The athletes and the performances on the other hand were pretty badass!

it was fun to watch, but what a waste of wrecked rally cars on such a small stadium event.
i agree on the girl... if they didnt need a co-driver they should have elected a fan to sit there

and the stadium part of the course was see once by all drivers... there was no practicing the dirt part since it was built over night and practiced on all morning... the evo didnt even practice the jump befor the race, since he fear'd he'd take himself out of the event

any event small or big is good for rally and being it was on the x-games it got alot of new eyes to the sport

Two guys were introduced as "rally experts". They didn't know the types of terrain, didn't know the types of tires used in rally, said Pastrana was a world rally champion which, no offense to him, he's not & they didn't know the years of any of the cars. I wish they would have just shut up but, the speakers were too loud at the event.

I fail to see the cuteness. But that's just my opinion.

Yea the commercial cuts during the Superpark sucked. The camera cutting for the Rally was horrible too. But overall it was decent. Those announcers are familar to me. I've heard those voices several times. I believe they are drag racing announcers, like NHRA style and that's where I would have heard them. But yea, they really should have gotten some people to do the talking for that. Besides the fact that the guys would talk while they had an in car camera on and the audio would cut in and out cause you were getting them talking along with the audio from the car.

yup....not sure if this was posted before on i-club, but here's a leaked vid of them practicing on the tarmac portion a few days before the race:
http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=5863

and I guess they built the exact same ramp out in Utah before the race as well.....no video though.

now, had they NOT been allowed to practice anything (except the jump, for saftey reasons), THAT would have make the co-drivers much more valuable, and the course even more challenging....well, at least for the first round.
